Still here

We are still here- just crazy! Life with three kids four and under is a lot of fun- and a lot of work too. The little time I had to do such things like shower, cook, and blog are long gone- but it is worth it. Just wanted to give you a picture of my 4 1/2 year old, my 4 year old, and my 4 month old! :)

Callaway Gardens

My mom's sweet friend has a house near Callaway Gardens and let us stay down there for a week last month. We had the best time taking walks, playing putt-putt, riding in the blaster boats, going to the bird shows, fishing, and just being outside. This is the view from the back window of her home.

This little guy LOVES to be outside
They have an awesome tire swing in the back yard that the kids (and their mommy) loved swinging on. Brett wanted to swing as high as I could push him... Kate was fine with a teeny tiny push. :)

Taking a break with Daddy
My happy, sweet, can't-get-enough of you boy!!!!
and my sweet (almost 4 year old) princess
Brett caught lots of frogs during the course of the week- and just in case you are wondering- frogs do NOT survive in a cardboard box with the lid pulled down during the hot summer :)
The "big two" (as they are now called) taking a walk with Ma and Daddy Bob
My "I really could eat him with a spoon" little guy
Brett with his new BFF Warehouse Mouse

Having fun with Mommy
The kids loved walking on the trails and finding "treasures".
Where's Reid?
There he is!
Feeding the fish and turtles
Brett LOVED the bird show- so much so that we went to all three shows they had that day.
Can you see what is in his mouth? A mouse leg!!!

T-ball (LONG overdue)

Spring T-ball was so much fun. There are not many things that are cuter in this life than a little boy in a t-ball uniform. Well- I guess a little boy in a t-ball uniform that is standing in the outfield throwing his glove up in the air and trying to catch it during the game might be a little cuter. :)
Our maybe a little boy in a t-ball uniform playing infield- with his hat over his face!
Brett was the second youngest (and second tallest) boy on his team so this year was a learning year for sure. Daddy helped coach and had a wonderful time. So much fun that we are gearing up right now for fall t-ball and he is going to be the head coach. Brett loved having Daddy as his coach and Kate was an awesome cheerleader. (you can see her screaming go Devil Rays in the picture below)

This is one of my favorite sights- waving at Mommy from the outfield.

Love this boy! (and his baby brother- see my big ole belly)

Teaching Kate how to get ground balls. (Kate LOVES plain Lay's chips and gets them at every game)
Sliding into home- just for the fun of it

Reid

I can't believe it has only been three weeks since Mr. Reid has entered our world. To be honest, I don't know what we did without him. I have been completely smitten by this little one and can not imagine my life without him. I am so in love!
It was such an interesting experience to have a scheduled csection. To walk into the hospital feeling fine, and have a baby within two hours is a surreal experience. After our experience with Brett in the NICU, I was so nervous to hear those first few cries and hear his apgar scores. Reid let out a nice loud cry followed by a 9/9 apgar- I was one relieved mommy. And when they told me that he weighed 10 lbs 1 oz and was 22 1/2 inches long I felt much better about how miserable I was the last few weeks of pregnancy.
The first few weeks at home have been amazingly wonderful. The kids have loved having a little brother. Daddy has stepped up big time and has entertained the "big two" with daily trips to the pool. Reid is a wonderful baby and is a fabulous eater and sleeper- I am so thankful. I must admit that I LOVE LOVE LOVE having three children- WAY more than I thought I would. My heart feels so full and I am so incredibly thankful that God has trusted us with such priceless gifts.

Brett and Kate seeing him for the first time. Kate walked in and said, "Mommy, who is that?" So cute- we have been talking about him for so long I think she was shocked that he was really finally here.

The view from out of our window!
Going home! He has mommy wrapped around his little finger already!

The kids were SOOO excited to have Reid home. They have been WONDERFUL!
