Just having fun

We have been loving the warm weather and blue skies this past week and have taken every opportunity to be outside.  Brett loves to be outside- in fact when we were taking a walk the other day he would say "No" every time we got close to the house and would point in the other direction.  Cute kid.

Playing with friends at the park

Just hanging out

Sliding with Daddy
Oh how I love this boy
One of Brett's favorite places- the water fountain.  He gets so excited when we go here.
Every time Brett sees a coin he picks it up and says "Wa- Wa" because we always throw pennies in the fountain when we go.  Just look how excited he is to throw it in.
Hmmm- where should I throw it?

"Fishing" with Kaleigh
Watching Daddy play softball.  He loved watching Brian play and would yell "Hello Daddy" and wave at him every time he came in from the outfield.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Yes- we celebrate everything around here with pancakes!  My mom made me green pancakes every St. Patrick's Day, so I am carrying on the tradition.

This is suppose to be a shamrock

Frogs, Snails, and Puppy Dog Tails

Never in a million years would I have thought I could have so much fun with a frog.  I must admit, however, that watching Brett with this frog probably made the "Top 10" list of things I have loved most about having a boy.  Brett was so fascinated with this frog- and I must confess that I took over 50 pictures of him studying it.  Thanks Daddy Bob for catching the frog for us- and Ma for hopping like a frog with my cute little guy all around the backyard.

THE frog- poor thing is probably scared for life
Ma and Brett watching the frog
Brett waving and saying "Hellwo" to the frog
Getting a better look
Pure joy
Brett did "pet" the frog- but then decided that it was much more fun to get a piece of pine straw and poke the frog until he hopped.

Looking up at Daddy Bob with pure excitement because he made the frog hop
This is my favorite picture out of all of them.  The frog jumped into a big bush and Brett is tightly holding his piece of pine straw and searching for any signs of the jumping frog.

A day at the park

I can't believe that one week after our "big" snow we are walking around in short sleeves enjoying 80 degree weather- crazy!  We decided to make the most of the beautiful day and loaded everyone up for a trip to a state park.  We had the best time.  Brett loved running around, seeing the water, blowing bubbles, waving to the horses, and playing on the playground- and we just enjoyed watching him.  Bring on the Spring- we are ready!!!!

This one just makes my heart smile- I love all three of these "boys" so much.
Love this picture of Brett and Nana.

Brett LOVED!!!!!!! the water.

Love this one of Brett and Rob too- Brett loves Uncle Rob.
Playing with Daddy's sunglasses.
He could play with sticks for hours and hours.
Taking a walk with Ma.
My handsome boy (and his banana).
Once a daddy's girls- always a daddy's girl.

SNOW!!!!

For those of you who live in the North- snow is not a big deal at all.  But for those of us in the South- it is a huge deal.  And when I say huge deal I mean- no bread left at the grocery, no news on TV except the weather, all the schools shut down- and all of this over 1 inch of snow huge deal.  Some of you may laugh at that- but I love it.  If we are lucky we get one snow a year- and we got that snow yesterday.  We went in to church with no snow in sight and walked out into a winter wonderland.  It was beautiful.  Of course all the grandparents came over to watch our little man play in the snow.  I must say- for the 20 minutes he stayed out- he loved it.  But after that- he walked up the hill in our back yard- kindly waved goodbye to us- and headed up to Nana and the warm house.  Too funny!  Here are some picture of our day.
