Kate's birthday party

We had a wonderful time at Kate's birthday party. We had a Mickey Mouse/Minnie Mouse theme which Kate was so excited about. The weather was wonderful (love having a child with a Sept. birthday) and all of her friends were able to come. It was so fun to finally be able to have a birthday party for our girl.
All decked out in our ears (Brian was such a trouper)
Minnie and Mickey Mouse ears for all our guests. And Mickey silly bands to take home.
Minnie Kate and Minnie Mommy
Minnie's Masterpiece Station- sweet Kaleigh helped all the kids paint their own Mickey or Minnie shirt.

Kate LOVES to play in the sandbox, so we hid a bunch of Mickey, Donald, Minnie, etc characters in the sand for the kids to find.
Bean bag toss
My mom made this cute mailbox!
The birthday girl getting ready for her party.
(most of these pictures were taken in the basement which is why the color is so "off" in them)
Cupcakes
Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse picture frames I made
The cake
Sweet, sweet Anna Grace drove 1 1/2 hours to come to Kate's birthday party!! I think you can tell how excited Kate was to have her there.
Cara (who also drove an hour to be at the party), Brett, and Kate playing in the sandbox
Kate's favorite part of the day- getting to hold baby Laney
Kate also LOVES playdoh- so I made "magic" Mickey mouse playdoh. I made playdoh balls in the shape of Mickey's head and hid several drops of food coloring in them. They had to knead there playdoh to find out what color they got.
Chloe and Noah playing outside
Caleb playing the bean bag game
Lunch- chicken nuggets and mac-n-cheese- two of Kate's favorite things
It is hard to see in this picture, but the kids watched a Disney sing-a-long video during lunch- it was a big hit.
Opening up her presents. Our house has officially been invaded with Princess stuff.
Daddy bringing out the cake
Once again blowing our her candles.

Answered prayers

I have a ton of pictures from Kate's birthday party and the beach to post- but I didn't want to forget something that Brett said today so I thought I would go ahead and record it.
We were outside playing and eating a Dove chocolate after lunch. Inside the Dove wrappers are quotes- sort of like fortune cookies. He wanted me to read his to him. It said,
"What would you do if you knew you would not fail"
I then asked him, "Buddy, if you could do anything in the world what would you do?"
His answer-
"Love Kate"
