Disney World- Part One

We had such a wonderful time at Disney World.  Brett LOVED it.  He rode every ride that he could- including the Goofy roller coaster- which was his favorite.  And he really, really, really loved Nana, Ma, Daddy Bob, Daddy, and Mommy all being with him for several days.  The only thing he did not- and I mean really did not- like was the characters.  He loves Pooh so we stood in line for almost an hour to get his picture taken with him.  You can see from the pictures below that he was not a fan.  Poor guy!  Needless to say- we didn't stand in any more lines for pictures with characters.  Thanks Nana, Daddy Bob, and Ma for going with us.  We had such a great time!

Waving hello to Mickey at the airport. (and yes- that is a "leash" that he is wearing- and if you have met my sweet boy you know why he is wearing it- that boy can run!!!!)
Family picture at the Wide World of Sports
The Magic Kingdom with all the grandparents
and with mom and dad too
This is what my poor dad looked like the whole time- he got put in charge of the camera- and carried it the whole time we were at the park.
Waiting to see Pooh and Tigger- not so sure about this
Brett loved Pooh and Tigger from the back...
but not from the front!
Don't let him near me Daddy!
Blowing kisses to Pooh

Winnie the Pooh ride- he loved this ride and asked to ride it over and over again
Driving with Daddy- this was Brian's favorite ride with Brett

Riding on the carousel
The Goofy roller coaster- I can't believe that he liked this ride.  The only time he cried all day was when we had to get off this ride.  He kept saying "More, more, more".

Taking a ride on Daddy's shoulders
The teacups- how cute is that little guy!
Relaxing with Dad after a long, fun day

Brett's birthday- Part Two

Since Brett loves anything with wheels- and really, really, really loves the movie Cars- we decided to do a "cars" theme for his birthday.  It really seems like yesterday that we had his one year old birthday- it is hard to believe another year has gone by.   Below are (lots) of pictures of the party.

Eye surgery #4

This cute face is having his 4th- and hopefully last- eye surgery tomorrow.  The tube they put in Brett's eye in June is coming out tomorrow.  The first set of tubes he had got taken out at the doctor's office, but this tube requires a visit to the children's hospital and- once again- being put to sleep.  Please be praying for us tomorrow morning.  And be praying for this surgery to work- we will know by next week if it was successful.

Brett's Birthday- Part One

We started out Brett's birthday weekend with donut holes for breakfast.  This kid LOVES donut holes- just like his Daddy.  Brian's favorite food is donuts- and his dream is to take Brett on a road trip one day and stop at every donut store that they pass to "taste test" the donuts.  Fear not baby- I think that Brett will be more than willing to take that road trip with you!

Christmas

Yes, I am just now getting to uploading our Christmas pictures.  We have had two sets of out of town company, Brett's birthday party, and a trip to Disney in the last few weeks- so I just haven't had any time to sit down and blog.  I have a ton of pictures from Brett's birthday and our fun trip to Disney, so I should be busy updating the blog this week.
Christmas was a lot of fun.  Brett smiled non-stop for hours.  It was hysterical.  Our house looked like a cross between a sports field, a railroad station, and Radiator Springs (from the movie Cars).  Brett loved all his gifts- and we loved watching him.  It is so fun to experience Christmas through the eyes of your child.

He LOVES cars- especially the cars from the movie Cars.

Of course he loved the box that all the gifts came in too!
