Countdown until Baby Day!

Our countdown chain is getting very short which can mean only one thing- it is almost Baby Day!!!! It is so hard to believe that the time has really come. We have a c-section scheduled for June 21st- but at my appointment on Monday the doctor said she didn't think I would make it that far. She also said that she thought he already weighed 9.5 pounds!!!!! Yikes!!!! That would explain the enormous stomach and swollen feet- and the fact that I can't really get comfortable anymore. A lot of you know that I have had a lot of trouble with my iron this pregnancy (my sweet friend Joy has nicknamed the baby Popeye) Normal iron levels are above 12 and mine were between 7 and 8. I took iron pills for 6 weeks but they didn't do anything, so I have had to go in to get iron infusions for the past several weeks. I am happy to say that my levels were at an 11 this week!!!! Hooray!!!!!! I am so very thankful.
I am sad to say that I have done a horrible job taking "belly" pictures with this pregnancy. I will try to take some pictures and post them soon- but for now here is one from several weeks ago. As you can see, something is in the water down here and a lot of my friends are pregnant. It has been so fun to be pregnant together.
This picture really doesn't do my stomach justice- I really think I am twice as big now. I have had several people ask me this week if I was having twins (never ask a pregnant lady that- by the way). But my favorite story was from the pool last week. Brian swam with the kids and I just watched so I just had my normal clothes on. When we were walking out a man said, "My son wanted to know why you were hiding the ball from your kids." Too funny!
