My Dad

We found out this week that my dad has colon cancer.  We do not know any details yet (what stage the cancer is, if it has spread anywhere else, etc) but he had a CT scan today, so we should know more by Monday.  Please, please, please be praying for my sweet dad.  If you know me at all, you know that I have a very special relationship with my dad.  I love him with every fiber in my being.  He is an amazing man who NEVER complains.  His response to finding out he has cancer was, "Amybeth, this is no big deal- this is just one tiny bump in life's road".
Please keep him, and my mom, in your prayers.  I will keep you all updated as we learn more.

Amybeth-

Your sweet dad, mom and you all will be in my prayers. I know we never like to hear the "C" word and it can be scary, but know that God is in complete control and He loves each of you, and nothing is impossible with our Lord. I'm here for you if you just need someone to talk to.

Love you,

Colleen

We heard the news from Dennis. You can believe we have been praying. Your dad (as well as you MOM) is indeed a wonderful, loving and fun man. And a man of great faith. Trusting that God is granting all of you His peace. And we love the pics of your fam of 4 - hope to meet Kate soon.

Amybeth,
I also think your dad (and mom) are wonderful. I enjoyed talking with him at the airport and even though I have not had the opportunity to know him as well as I would like, he treated me like a dear old friend. Made me feel so special!!! Please tell him that I will pray diligently and I know there are wonderful treatments for this disease now. The Lord is faithful (as you well know) and He will take care of your dad! All my love to you and your family!
